Which Dicer is the Best?
Its difficult to say which is the best as it will depend on the product you are trying to dice and then finding the most appropriate machine.
The German manufactured Edertal machine is excellent for small retail stores whilst for medium to large processors then Treif or FoodLogistik are the go to options. Its just a case of matching the machine to your requirements.
For a manual machine by Edertal prices start at around £3500.
The Treif and FoodLogistik prices start from around £13,000 up almost £50,000.
But it all depends on the return on investment. Its better to get higher production if means reducing your labour costs and increasing your output.
We recommend a dicer should be serviced by a qualified technician every 12 month
It all depends on your production volume and what you intend to dice.
We always recommend future proofing your purchase by ensuring if you need to increase capacity you can do without needing a new machine.
Yes the Treif Felix is a 1PH machine.

Who manufacturers Dicers?
We supply machines manufactured by Edertal, FoodLogistik and Treif. All from Germany.
The Treif Twister is our biggest machine capable of processing 3.5 tonnes per hour
The Edertal AS72 Manual Dicer is our smallest machine whilst the FoodLogistik Classic 96 and the Treif Felix are the smallest automatic machines.
A dicer is a food processing machine that takes large products and pushes them through a cutting grid to make dices (or chunks). The slicing balde then cuts through the length of the product to produce the length required.
Taking away the horizontal bars on the grid produces a strip so they can be used for strip cutting as well for products such as stir fries.
Yes some models are able to dice frozen product but only down to about -3°C so the product generally needs to be tempered first.
What is the warranty?
It varies from each manufacturer but generally the industry standard is 12 months parts warranty.
We offer additional warranty cover to include labour and extensions over 12 months. Details of this will be included in any quote you receive from us.
Sometimes called service contracts our engineers will come and inspect your machine and conduct a service based on the manufacturers guidelines.
We change all wearable parts and these are designed to be changed regularly in order to protect the more expensive parts of the machine.
9 times out of 10 most issues can be avoided if the operators change the blades more regularly.
Blunt blades mean the machine has to work harder to cut the meat through and this can cause unecessary wear on other moving parts and as a result the blade comes off.
Putting in prodcut that is also too cold is another issue we often see.
Water ingress is a common fault where plugs and buttons are jet sprayed.
We want to make sure we get you the right spare part as quickly as possible.
To make sure we get the right spare part for you it is really helpful if you can provide a serial number for the machine and the part number itself.
Photos are very helpful too as it means we can check what we are sending you matches.
Just Fill Out The Form and our spares team will get onto it straight away.
There are a number of different blades available for example Foodlogistik offer 1mm and 2mm thicknesses with smooth cutting edge (for fresh products) and serrated (for frozen to -3°C)
So fill out the form to with as many details as you can and our team will get you the best options for your machine.
It is crucial blades are kept sharp so we also offer blade sharpening for the main blade. So as long as you have two sets you can keep your main running and get much longer life from your blade sets.
Making sure you have considered all the options is crucial in making the right choice.
We have over 10 in our range so we certainly have something for everyone.
Just fill in your details in the form and one of our team will get in touch straight away.
Whether it is a large factory or a high street shop, pub or restaurant our engineers will have probably seen the issue before.
Whilst we are able to be reactive we much prefer to fix issues before they become breakdowns.
This is why our best relationships are with businesses who have regular maintenance programmes in place.
The advantages of this are immeasurable.
Not only do your machines breakdown less often, our engineers build up a knowledge of your business and machinery so we can carry more parts which ultimately means your machines are back at full capacity quickly.
Also our engineers are able to build strong relationships with your staff and this minimises the risk of misunderstandings and frustrations that can occur in stressful times.
So if you have an issue or would like to discuss how best to prevent stressful breakdowns just fill out the form and our service and breakdown team will jump on it straightaway.
