Before you bring anyone in to work on your equipment, you want to know exactly how it works, what it costs and whether you can trust them.
These are the most common questions we get asked and the answers we give so you can make a decision with all the facts.
If you still have questions after this, just get in touch. We're always happy to talk through your specific setup.
Yes - absolutely. In fact, we recommend starting that way. Most clients begin with one-off repairs, inspections, or smaller service visits. This gives you a chance to see how we work, how we approach your equipment and whether we’re a good long-term fit for your business. If it works, we can build a plan that suits you. If not, there’s no obligation, no long-term commitment, and no pressure.
Yes - planned maintenance almost always saves money long-term. One major breakdown can cost thousands in lost production, wasted stock, delayed orders, emergency repair costs and even customer penalties. Regular maintenance prevents these failures, extends equipment life, and reduces total repair costs over time. Prevention is always cheaper than reaction.
Our maintenance covers full inspections, safety checks, adjustments, lubrication, replacement of wearable parts, wear monitoring and early fault detection - following the manufacturers guidelines. We look for developing issues before they cause downtime. After every visit, you receive a full report showing exactly what was done, any concerns identified, and what actions (if any) are recommended.
Yes - we take full responsibility for managing your maintenance schedule. We track when machines are due for service, schedule visits at convenient times, and stay on top of inspections, repairs, and compliance checks. You don’t have to remember anything - we keep your equipment running and take the pressure off your team. We can either do this for one machine, a number of machines, all your machines or even your entire facilities operation.
Yes - we support equipment regardless of where it was purchased. In fact, most of the machines we maintain weren’t originally supplied by us and sometimes we even recommend buying from a competitor or direct from the manufacturer if that's right for you. Whether you need help with a single machine, a few key pieces of equipment or full-site maintenance across your entire operation (including facilities), we build service plans to match your business.
Yes - we can take full responsibility for maintaining your entire production operation. Whether you have a single machine, a full production line, or multiple sites, we build service plans to cover everything. We make sure we use engineers who are experienced with each type of machinery which can mean working with vetted contractors but rest assured we handle all the admin.
Yes we work across a wide range of brands, models, and equipment types in food processing and production. Our engineers are trained to handle different systems, and we build technical files for your specific machines as part of our service. Mixed sites with equipment from multiple manufacturers are very common - we make sure everything stays running, regardless of the badge on the front.
When a machine breaks down, you contact us directly. Our engineers respond quickly, diagnose the fault and complete repairs wherever possible on the first visit. If parts are needed, we source them fast and keep you fully updated throughout. The priority is always to get you back into production with minimal downtime.
In many cases, we respond the same day often within hours depending on your location and the urgency of the issue. Our regular service clients receive priority callout support.
No one can pretend they fix everything first time. So if a fault can’t be fixed on the first visit, we always provide a clear, safe temporary solution where possible to minimise downtime. We source any required parts quickly, keep you fully informed and you'll be a priority to get to back up and running.
Costs depend on your equipment, service frequency and production setup. We provide clear, fixed pricing with no surprises. Most clients find that even one prevented breakdown easily offsets the full cost of annual maintenance.
No all costs are clearly explained upfront. If additional work, parts, or callouts are required, you’ll always know the full price before we proceed. Where possible we try and charge a fixed fee but sometimes we do have to charge an hourly rate but we will always make this clear up front. No hidden fees, no surprises.
Yes we supply and fit both Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts and high-quality approved alternatives, depending on what’s most reliable and cost-effective for your equipment. We’ll always advise you on the best option for long-term performance.
Absolutely. All our engineers are fully trained in food production hygiene, safety protocols, and site-specific procedures. We work closely with your team to ensure full compliance at every visit and brief the engineers prior to visiting you.
Yes. Food safety and hygiene are core parts of our engineer training. Our team understands the strict standards required in food production environments and follows them on every job.
Yes our maintenance reports and safety checks help keep you audit-ready. You’ll have clear records showing when equipment was serviced, what was checked, and any issues resolved - ready for customer or compliance inspections.
No we offer flexible service agreements. Many clients start with one-off services, then move into a plan that suits their business once they’ve seen how we work. No long-term lock-ins, just long-term relationships.
Yes your maintenance plan can be adjusted as your site, equipment, or production needs change. We regularly review service levels with clients to make sure you’re always getting the right level of support.
Because this is all we do. We specialise in keeping food production equipment running reliably. Our clients trust us because we take full responsibility for protecting their machinery and production and we prove it on every visit.
