Which Mixer is the Best?
It really depends on the volume you need and the type of product you are looking to mix.
There are a lot of models available so once we have all the information available about your product we'll be able to make a number of recommendations.
The Mainca models are excellent for artisan sausage makers as they create a unifomr product with the air removed.
Some models such as the Lakidis can be equipped with a vacuum pump to completely remove the air whilst Z arms are particularly effective with sticky products that are too tough on conventional mixing arms.
The smallest La Felsinea mixers cost less than £1000 whilst a Lakidis Z Arm can be in excess of £100,000.
As ever the most important calculation is the return on investment.
We recommend medium to large scale producers should have their mixers serviced by a qualified technician every 4- 6 months.
Smaller retail mixers don't really benefit from servicing
It all depends on your production volume, the product you are mixing and the outcome you want to achieve.
Factors such as the size of the mixing bowl, whether you require a vacuum, the ability to mix and knead (air removal), tote bin loading etc will dictate the tyoe of machine we ultimately recommend.

The most common problems occur when the product being mixed is too dense for the machine with causes the gearbox to fail.
