Which Bowl Chopper is the Best?
It really depends on the volume you need and the type of product you are looking to chop.
The La Felsinea range are excellent for retail stores and test kitchens whilst Talsa have a proven reputation for larger models.
The smallest La Felsinea bowl choppers start at around £3000 whilst the very biggest industrial machines will cost in excess of £100,000
We recommend a bowl chopper should be serviced by a qualified technician every 4- 6 months.
We always recommend using blades supplied by the original manufacturer as they are specific to that machine
It all depends on your production volume, the product you are chopping and the outcome you want to achieve.
Factors such as the size of the bowl, the speed to the knives, whether you can vary the speed are important in the final outcome of your product
Yes.
Some of the smaller machines are available in single phase.
They generally cost a bit more than their 3 phase counterparts.
Yes we have comprehensive planned preventative maintenance contracts available all designed to keep your production running smoothly
Our network of engineers can cover the whole of the UK.
Yes when we quote for a machine we offer two levels of pricing to suit all needs.
Delivery only for businesses with their own engineers
Delivery and installation plus bonuses worth up to £2000
Do you sell replacement blades?
Yes we sell blades for all of our machines.
Do you resharpen blades?
Yes we offer a service where our engineers will come and replace your existing blades with sharp ones and take your other blades away for resharpening.
Who manufacturers Bowl Choppers?
We supply machines manufactured by La Felsinea, Ramon and Talsa.
Nowicki also manufactur large industrial machines
The biggest machine we have available is the Talsa K200Neo capable of holding 200 litres.
The La Felsinea Gladius 6 is the smallest machine we have with a capacity of 6 litres
Somethimes known as bowl cutters or vertical cutters a bowl chopper is a food processing machine with a shallow bowl that rotates, 3 or 6 blades then spin rapidly chopping the product until it forms an emulsion.
Yes but it is dependent on the machine and only the bigger more powerful ones can really do it. Product needs to flaked or bandsawed before it is processed.
We would need to know how cold the product will be and what form it will be in (blocks, flaked or chunks).
What is the warranty?
It varies from each manufacturer but generally the industry standard is 12 months parts warranty.
We offer additional warranty cover to include labour and extensions over 12 months. Details of this will be included in any quote you receive from us and depends on the delivery option you decide to take.
Sometimes called service contracts our engineers will come and inspect your machine and conduct a service based on the manufacturers guidelines.
We change all wearable parts and these are designed to be changed regularly in order to protect the more expensive parts of the machine.
9 times out of 10 most issues can be avoided if the operators change the blades more regularly
Blunt blades mean the machine has to work harder to push emulsify the product and this can cause the gearbox to fail.
Water ingress is a common fault where plugs and buttons are jet sprayed.
